Grounded in Māori knowledge and bridging Te Ao Māori and Te Ao Pākehā, it envisions a cohesive future where built environments foster biodiversity, cultural identity, and thriving communities. By prioritising the whenua and creating spaces that are authentically Māori, TŪHONONGA offers iwi, hapū, and whānau innovative pathways for community living and housing on ancestral land. Through this, it reclaims and reimagines living environments, championing a harmonious relationship with nature and a flourishing cultural connection.
